Aura Health Data Consent

I freely give Individual entrepreneur Maksim Vladimirovich Kuleshov, Republic of Armenia, registration number RB22-E283-7DEC-1724, 26A Khorenatsi St., Yerevan, Armenia ("Aura") my consent to process my personal data about my health on the terms below. This consent is separate and optional; it is needed only for the "Effect of practice" report in the Premium subscription. Without it, Aura works the same, and heart rate during a class is shown from the phone's data without being sent to Aura.
1. Why
To show me the "effect of practice": how my sleep, heart rate variability and resting heart rate look on days with and without yoga classes, my heart rate during class, and how all this changes over time — by week, month and year on year (the report is part of Premium).
These are observations of my own data, not a health assessment. Aura does not diagnose, draw medical conclusions, give medical advice or promise improvements, and is not a medical device. Yoga in Aura is fitness and rest, not treatment. The data is not used for advertising, is not sold and is not shared for insurance or other risk assessment.
2. What data
Only from Apple Health (iPhone) or Health Connect (Android), and only with my permission in the phone's settings. Data from watches, rings and other apps reaches Aura only if those devices have written it to Apple Health or Health Connect themselves.
- sleep — duration per night, in minutes;
- heart rate variability (HRV) — one value per day;
- resting heart rate — one value per day;
- heart rate during my Aura class — average, maximum and minimum, number of readings, and which class it belongs to;
- which source (Apple Health or Health Connect) sent the data and for which day.
Only these totals are sent to Aura. Individual readings (each heart-rate value with its exact time) are used by the phone for the calculation and are not sent. Aura does not read or receive blood oxygen, temperature, menstrual cycle, weight, blood pressure, other apps' workouts or medical records.
New totals are sent while I have Premium. If the subscription ends, sending stops; data already received is kept under section 6.
3. Recording classes in Apple Health and Health Connect
If I turn on "Record classes" (off by default), Aura writes my past yoga classes to Apple Health or Health Connect as "Yoga" workouts: start time and duration. Aura asks a separate write permission for this. These records stay on my phone; I can turn recording off with the same switch and delete what was written in Apple Health or Health Connect.
4. What Aura does with the data
Collection, recording, systematisation, accumulation, storage, updating, retrieval, use, blocking, deletion, destruction. Processing is automated. No decisions with legal effects for me are made on the basis of this data.
This data is not used for anonymised analysis, model training, exports, the Aura Score, suggestions, matching or advertising. Analytics services (Firebase, AppMetrica) receive no values — only facts such as "source connected" or "report opened", without numbers, and only if I agreed to analytics.
5. Who sees it
- Only I see my health data — in the app.
- My teacher, other users and Aura administrators do not see it. Server access is limited to the Aura staff who need it to run the service.
- The data is stored by the hosting provider Beget LLC (St Petersburg, Russia), which Aura has instructed to store it. There are no other recipients; the data is not shared with third parties.
- The data is not transferred abroad.
6. How long
- Each record — 24 months from the day it refers to (to allow a year-on-year comparison); then it is erased automatically.
- If I disconnect a source, its data on the server is erased immediately.
- If I withdraw consent, all my health data on the server is erased immediately.
- After the account is deleted, the data is erased with it, within 30 days.
- Erased data remains in database backups until they are replaced on schedule — no longer than 30 days.
- The consent is valid until withdrawn or until the account is deleted. Aura keeps the record that I gave and withdrew consent (date and edition, without the data) as proof of consent.
7. How to withdraw
At any time, as easily as giving it: in the app (Profile → Settings → Health and devices → Withdraw consent; works without Premium too) or by e-mail to support at info@aura-aum.ru from the account's address.
After withdrawal Aura stops receiving data and erases what it has — immediately when withdrawn in the app, within 10 working days when withdrawn by e-mail. Access granted in the phone's settings (Apple Health, Health Connect) I revoke there — the app shows where. A new consent starts from a clean slate. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before it.
8. New edition
If Aura changes the meaning of this text, the app asks for consent again; until then no new data is accepted.
9. My rights
I may find out what data is processed, get a copy (including an export from the app once available), ask for it to be corrected, blocked or destroyed, withdraw consent, and complain to Roskomnadzor or a court. For users in the EU, the legal basis is explicit consent (GDPR Art. 9(2)(a)), and I may complain to my country's data protection authority. Requests — to info@aura-aum.ru.
